Why speed matters

Slow pages lose visitors and sales, and Google uses page experience, including Core Web Vitals, as a ranking signal. Largest Contentful Paint measures when the main content appears, Cumulative Layout Shift measures visual jumps, and Total Blocking Time measures how long the page is unresponsive.

What this test runs

We request your page to measure server response, size, compression and caching. When available, we also run Google’s Lighthouse in the cloud and show real-visitor data from Chrome. The list of opportunities shows what would save the most time.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my score change between runs?

Lab tests vary with network and server load. Run it two or three times and look at the trend rather than a single number.

What is a good LCP?

Under 2.5 seconds. Between 2.5 and 4 seconds needs improvement, and over 4 seconds is poor.

What is the quickest way to speed up a site?

Usually a caching layer or CDN, compressed and correctly sized images, and removing scripts you do not need.

Read-only: we request public pages the way a visitor would. Private and internal addresses are blocked, and nothing you enter is stored.
