View exactly what a server answers for any address: status code, headers, redirects and timing.

Working on it. Most checks take 5 to 30 seconds, so please keep this page open.

Reading a status code

200 means the page loaded. 301 and 308 are permanent redirects, 302 and 307 are temporary. 404 means not found, 410 means gone for good, and 5xx codes mean the server failed. Search engines treat each differently, so the right code matters.

What the headers tell you

Headers show the content type, whether the response is compressed, how long browsers may cache it, which server software answered, and any indexing instructions sent as a header. This viewer explains the common ones in plain language.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between GET and HEAD?

GET fetches the whole page like a browser. HEAD asks for the headers only, which is faster but a few servers answer it differently.

Why check as Googlebot?

Some sites treat search engine crawlers differently from visitors, whether on purpose or because of a firewall. Comparing the two shows the difference.

Does this follow redirects?

Yes, and it lists every step before showing the headers of the final page.

Read-only: we request public pages the way a visitor would. Private and internal addresses are blocked, and nothing you enter is stored.
