Broken link checker

Find dead links on a page before visitors and search engines do.

Try:

Working on it. Most checks take 5 to 30 seconds, so please keep this page open.

Why broken links hurt

A link that leads to a 404 page frustrates visitors and wastes the crawl budget search engines spend on your site. Dead outbound links make a page look neglected, and broken internal links stop search engines finding your content.

How the check works

We read the page, collect every link, and request each one. Working links answer 200, redirects answer 3xx, and broken ones answer 404, 410 or a server error. Sites that refuse automated requests are listed separately so you can check them by hand.

Frequently asked questions

How many links can it check?

Up to 100 links on one page per run.

Why is a working link marked as "could not be verified"?

Some sites, such as social networks, block automated visits. Open the link in a browser to confirm.

Should I fix redirecting links?

They work, but linking to the final address saves a hop and keeps pages fast.

Read-only: we request public pages the way a visitor would. Private and internal addresses are blocked, and nothing you enter is stored.
